The quickest fixes for the most common extension questions.
- The extension isn't filling anything
- Make sure you're signed in (click the Formeze toolbar icon → Sign in) and that you've saved at least a few fields — Formeze can only fill values it has learned. New accounts start empty; save the fields you want by submitting a form with auto-capture on, or add them from your dashboard.
- I don't see suggestions on a site
- Check that Suggestions is enabled in the popup and that the site isn't on your excluded-domains list. Formeze matches by meaning, so it needs a saved value that's a close match to the field's label.
- How do I turn off auto-capture or skip a site?
- Open the popup and toggle Auto-capture off to stop Formeze remembering submitted values, or add a domain to your exclusions to disable Formeze on that site entirely.
- How does PDF scanning work?
- Open a fillable PDF in your browser tab and click Scan in the popup. Formeze detects the fields so you can review and fill them. Scans are processed on Formeze's own servers.
- Which browsers are supported?
- Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. Install from your browser's extension store and sign in with your Formeze account.
Common questions
- How does Formeze fill forms?
- You save the answers you enter once. Formeze generates a semantic embedding of each field label — on our own servers — and matches new form fields by meaning, so "Company", "Employer", and "Organization" all resolve to the same saved value.
- Is my data private?
- Yes. All AI runs in-house — your data is never sent to a third-party AI provider. Saved values are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest, sent over TLS, isolated to your account, and never sold. See the privacy policy for the full detail. Read the privacy policy.
- Do I need an account?
- Yes — a free Formeze account. Your saved fields sync securely to your profile so autofill works across sites and devices. Create a free account.
- How do I export or delete my data?
- From your account settings you can download a full copy of everything you've stored, or permanently delete your account — which removes your saved fields, scans, embeddings, and history for good. Go to settings.
